1. Visually Inspect for loose fittings, leaks, general
condition
2. Place valve in manual and verify stability
3. Return to auto control and monitor
4. Check positioner gauges and feedback arm
5. Analyze DCS setpoint, pv, and output
6. Repeat as needed to get the valve working…..
